Legacy: In Tribute to the Egyptian Arabian Horse - *Bint Maisa El Saghira++

Bay Arabian Mare competing in a horse show

Bint Maisa El Saghira was a handsome mare, very much "in the square" and she produced it. She was a U.S. Top Ten Mare, U.S. Top Ten Park Horse and U.S. Top Ten English Pleasure. She was a great show mare, and produced some of the most outstanding offspring. When she was bred to Ansata Ibn Halima, the world was given the lovely Dahmah Shahwaniah. Bred to Fahidd (Anter x Abla) we got Dahma Il Ashekwar. Bred to Morafic we got Nafairtiti, Amaal, and Shaikh Al Badi, who, in turn, sired Ruminaja Ali, Ruminaja Bahjat, Alidaar, and others. She also had a direct son by Ibn Hafiza (Shamruk) and a grandson, Almawardy (x Dahmah Shahwaniah)

Her daughters were not as well known, with the exception of Dahmah Shahwaniah and Nafairtiti (who had several daughters by El Hilal), including Kachina Moon, who figured prominently into Jody Cruz' Rancho Bulakenyo.

We trust you'll enjoy getting to know her better from her page, below.
