Legacy: In Tribute to the Egyptian Arabian Horse - Falima

Although Falima’s dam, Fa-Habba, had five full sisters, only Fa-Habba was ever bred to Ansata Ibn Halima, and she was only ever bred to him but once and produced the important mare, Falima. Falima was Ansata Ibn Halima’s first Straight Egyptian daughter. He had already produced two very important sons, the full brothers Ansata Abbas Pasha and Ansata Ibn Sudan. It’s interesting that Ansata Ibn Sudan, a future U.S. National Champion Stallion, and Falima were born just days apart, and each would play such an important role in the development of the breeding program at Ansata Arabian Stud.

Falima’s destiny was to carry this famous family into the future through her daughters and their progeny. What would the Arabian world be today without the influence of Ansata Nile Pasha, Ansata Nile Echo, Imperial Maysama, and so many others. What a mare! What a legacy!
